I’m not lying when I say that the forecast for this week is rain, cloudy, rain and more rain. Also cold. So most people would look at that and NOT post a smoothie recipe but I miss my smoothies and like to have them every now again in the winter to boost our immune system.
This is my favorite smoothie recipe that I know off by heart and just throw all the ingredients into the mixer and it’s done in 5 minutes or less. It’s an adaption of our Berry Antioxidant Smoothie and the addition of peanut butter and protein powder give it the boost you need before or after a workout or as a healthy snack during the day.
My son Oliver is 16 months and he absolutely loves smoothies which I am so grateful for because it’s perfect for those days when he just doesn’t seem to have a big appetite. I go into freak mode thinking he isn’t getting enough nutrients but the Protein Smoothie comes to my rescue and gives me peace of mind that he is getting something healthy. I’m not the only one that does that right?!
